Today, campers explored the rich arts, music, and culture of West Virginia!
We kicked off the day with a lively game of Musical Spoons, where campers raced to grab spoons while listening to classic West Virginia folk music.

Next, we headed outside for “Baron Says,” our West Virginia-inspired version of Simon Says. Campers played the role of coal miners while counselors were the barons, learning a little about our state’s coal mining history while having lots of fun!
Our campers also enjoyed a hike, collecting unique leaves to create their own beautiful canvas leaf prints.

A huge thank you to our special guest, Miss Madison from the Huntington Museum of Art, for teaching campers about the cultural significance of quilting and helping them create their own colorful quilt squares filled with creative patterns.

Tomorrow, we wrap up an incredible week with a special field trip to Heritage Farm, where campers will take on the ropes course! We can’t wait to finish the week with one final adventure!
