Veterans Memorial Park was created to honor the many service men and women who have proudly served our country. This one-of-a-kind military themed playground features a variety of fun and challenging activities for children of all ages. Veterans Memorial Park features a picnic shelter with a grill (first come, first served basis), two picnic tables and a Little Free Library Box. This popular neighborhood park came to fruition when the GHPRD sold property to Marshall University for the construction of the MU Soccer complex. Proceeds from the sale of property and a great partnership with Marshall University made it possible for the GHPRD to design and develop the park.

ALL OF OUR RENTAL FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR ONE RENTAL PER DAY

Park patrons wishing to rent and reserve facilities must pay for the rental and receive confirmation that a permit of reservation has been issued. By clicking the link below a renter can reserve specific dates up to 364 days in advance by paying for the rental at the time of booking with a major credit card. If a facility is not booked and paid for it will continue to show as available on the facility calendar.
