About H.A.R.T

The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District (GHPRD) is proud to present our Summer Season Outdoor Community Theater Productions for 2017, Beauty and the Beast and Nunsense II: The Second Coming at the Ritter Park Amphitheater!
The Huntington Area Regional Theater (HART) was created in 2013 as the Huntington Outdoor Theater wrapped up a twenty year run of theatrical productions. Members of HART and the Choose Joy Players have rallied the Community repeatedly over the years to produce amazing shows like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz and many others. People have exclaimed that these shows rival some of the best Off-Broadway Productions!
Huntington West Virginia is very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of actors, actresses, directors, producers, stage hands and set-builders whose main goal is to entertain the Community! Many months of hard work are dedicated to design, construction, auditions and rehearsals and more rehearsals and the results have been amazing! As a Community member you owe it to yourself to attend productions of HART and as a HART supporter, you help ensure that top-notch outdoor community theater will continue at the Ritter Park Amphitheater for years to come!
Tickets for the shows are $15 for Adult General Admission; $12 for Seniors and Children under twelve years of age; and, groups of ten, or more, can purchase discounted tickets for $10 each at the GHPRD office in Heritage Station or at the Gate. Tickets are available on-line, at the Park District office and at the Amphitheater Gate the evening of the show. Tickets are on sale each evening at 6 p.m.; Gates will open at 7 p.m.; the Preshow begins at 7:30 p.m.; and, the Main Show starts at 8:30 pm.
