Nunsense II: The Second Coming takes place six weeks after the Sisters have staged their first benefit. The Sisters are back presenting a "thank-you" show for all the people who supported them in the past.  But now, they're a bit slicker, having been "bitten by the theater bug." Things get to off to a rousing start as the sisters sing Nunsense, the Magic Word but before long, chaos erupts. Two Franciscans come to claim Sister Mary Amnesia (who has won the Publishers? Clearing House Sweepstakes) as one of their own. At the same time the nuns hear that a talent scout is in the audience to see them strut their stuff. From the riotous bingo game run by Sister Amnesia to the hilarious duet, What Would Elvis Do?, to the rousing finale, There's Only One Way to End Your Prayers and That's to Say Amen!, this show will have you rolling in the aisles!

About H.A.R.T

The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District (GHPRD) is proud to present our Summer Season Outdoor Community Theater Productions for 2017, Beauty and the Beast and Nunsense II: The Second Coming at the Ritter Park Amphitheater!
The Huntington Area Regional Theater (HART) was created in 2013 as the Huntington Outdoor Theater wrapped up a twenty year run of theatrical productions. Members of HART and the Choose Joy Players have rallied the Community repeatedly over the years to produce amazing shows like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz and many others. People have exclaimed that these shows rival some of the best Off-Broadway Productions!
Huntington West Virginia is very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of actors, actresses, directors, producers, stage hands and set-builders whose main goal is to entertain the Community! Many months of hard work are dedicated to design, construction, auditions and rehearsals and more rehearsals and the results have been amazing! As a Community member you owe it to yourself to attend productions of HART and as a HART supporter, you help ensure that top-notch outdoor community theater will continue at the Ritter Park Amphitheater for years to come!
Tickets for the shows are $15 for Adult General Admission; $12 for Seniors and Children under twelve years of age; and, groups of ten, or more, can purchase discounted tickets for $10 each at the GHPRD office in Heritage Station or at the Gate. Tickets are available on-line, at the Park District office and at the Amphitheater Gate the evening of the show. Tickets are on sale each evening at 6 p.m.; Gates will open at 7 p.m.; the Preshow begins at 7:30 p.m.; and, the Main Show starts at 8:30 pm.
Beauty and the Beast opens on June 16 and runs for three weekends, ending on July 2, 2017. Nunsense II: The Second Coming opens on July 21st and runs for two weekends (21, 22, 23, 28, 29 & 30), ending on July 30, 2017.
